Organizing the World Championships
Hosting the best fistball world championship ever: This ambitious goal has been set by the organizers of the Men’s World Championship in Mannheim.
Preparations for the Fistball World Championships from July 22 to 29 are already in full swing under the newly founded fistball support association Faustball². The organizational areas are diverse: from marketing to recruiting volunteers, from catering to infrastructure – in all areas, the orga team wants to set new standards.
Organization
Organizing a unique fistball World Championship together
Several federations, clubs and organizations are involved in the preparation of the Men’s Fistball World Championship. Together they want to create an unforgettable event for all participants. An overview of the organizations involved:
TV Käfertal
The Mannheim club has been among the national fistball leaders for years. In addition, the club also attracted attention as a host. From 2018 to 2020, TVK hosted the men’s indoor championships three times in a row.
City of Mannheim
Since the application in summer 2019, the Department 52 (Sport & Leisure) of the City of Mannheim has been supporting the organization of the Fistball World Championship in Mannheim, especially in terms of infrastructure.
Badischer Turnerbund
Both the Baden Gymnastics Association and the fistball committee of the BTB are involved in marketing activities and volunteer recruitment for the World Championships.
VfR Mannheim
The Rhein-Neckar Stadium is the home of soccer league team VfR Mannheim. In July 2023, the club now welcomes the fistball community and supports with volunteers and infrastructure.
International Fistball Association
The IFA is responsible for the running of all world championships. This includes, among other things, the sporting process through the Competition Manager.

Whether it’s selling drinks or serving lunch in the marquee, acting as scorekeepers from the sidelines, helping with set-up and dismantling, or looking after one of the 16 participating teams: Volunteers are needed in all organizational areas of the 2023 World Fistball Championships to ensure that the event runs smoothly.
In addition to free admission on the assigned days of the event, appropriate World Cup equipment and meals during their service, particularly hard-working volunteers will also receive free tickets to the final matches in the SAP Arena in their own fan block.
FAQ
What kind of tickets can I buy?
Tickets are available on this website either for the entire World Cup week, from Saturday to Thursday in the Rhein-Neckar Stadium or for the final matches on Friday/Saturday in the SAP Arena. Day tickets will be available from spring 2023. ( to tickets)
Where will the matches be held?
The World Cup opener (Saturday through Thursday) will take place at Rhein-Neckar-Stadion, home of VfR Mannheim, in front of up to 7,500 spectators. The finals on Friday and Saturday will be played at the SAP Arena (12,500 spectators). ( venues)
